Your health, safety and well-being are our number one priority. We have implemented a number of measures, in line with government guidelines, to ensure that you, other students and our staff members remain safe during the pandemic.
Each curriculum area at college will be a “bubble”, this means you will spend time with your bubble and you won’t interact with others whilst at college. Breaks and lunchtimes will be staggered and during the day movement around college will be kept to a minimum.
Timetables and access to college
Timetable have been carefully considered to limit the number of people on site at any one time. Please do not attend the college campus outside of these allocated days.
A one-way system has also been introduced in communal areas. Please follow the directions were possible.
We have increased our cleaning schedule, installed new sanitising stations and all cleaning staff have received specialised training in Infectious Disease Control.
Guidance on hand washing and other preventative measures is also displayed around the College.
Where possible, we will continue to offer learning and other college services using online platforms. This includes using a blended learning approach that mixes on-site practical sessions with the digital delivery of theory work. Our staff are also using technology in innovative ways to support students and provide safe online access to support services.
Many of our staff are trained in mental health first aid and are able to support students during their transition to College or any difficulties adjusting to the "new normal".
We also have a qualified Wellbeing Mentor who can support students who are struggling with mental health issues, as well as links with specialist organisations.
If you have recently returned from
any of the countries listed as requiring you to quarantine upon return, you should not come into College until you have completed the 14 days quarantine.
Should you or any member of your household show any symptoms of Covid 19 you should
take a test and must remain at home for 14 days.
